Another very important tip is to make the markings on the wrong side of the fabric. If even after washing the markings don’t come off, they won’t show up on your bedspread.
You can wash the fabrics before you start cutting. Not everyone does this, but if the fabric shrinks or releases a lot of paint, the quilt doesn’t stain and doesn’t deform the design you made. As for the size of the quilt, because it is made in blocks, it is easy to change the sizes. For a larger quilt, increase the number of blocks, and for a smaller quilt, decrease the number.
